WIRED HEART PENDANT

Just a quick post for today ... I had a go at making a wired heart pendant this afternoon. I've used anti tarnish silver wire & red Swarovski crystals ... the heart was made from 1mm wire & the finer wire that I wrapped round it is 0.6mm
THEN I decided to design a curled ring to go with the pendant ... so here is my ring - again I've used the anti tarnish silver wire ( 1mm ) & a tiny hand painted bead in the centre along with the red Swarovski crystals,
***** OHHH MY GOD ****** I SOOO NEED BOTOX ON MY HANDS !!!!!!!

WIRE WRAPPED PEARL RINGS

I recently saw some pretty handmade wire rings & thought I'd TRY & have a go at making one myself. Thanks to Youtube I found a tutorial & had a go using some scraps of wire I had in my jewellery making box but it wasn't really the right thickness but was ok just for practicing. I managed to source some anti - tarnish silver jewellery wire & finally made a ring I was happy with & would wear. They are surprisingly easy to make so I'm going to make a few more in different colours, Here is the link for the tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1EEY7hIwhI&feature=related

AILEEN'S FAIRY CARD

I'm not a huge fan of fairy cards ... but my friend is ... so I made her this card for her birthday. The background was created using chalk & the orange sun / moon was drawn with an alcohol pen then faded slightly with a blender pen. I then stamped around the outside edge with various flowers, leaves etc finishing off with the main fairy stamp. A sprinkling of fairy dust glitter & a computer generated greeting ... all done

BUSY BUSY BUSY

SORRY I've not been updating lately ... we've been soooo busy at home having a new bathroom installed.
The old bathroom has been completely stripped out & the plaster knocked back to bare brick so a completely new start.
As most of you know one room being " fixed up " tends to lead to the rest of the house being turned upside down too ... but we're on the winning side of things now.
The flooring is being done this weekend & the blinds are being made, new towels in new colours have been bought along with a few new accessories ...
The colour scheme is black, grey & silver & now I'm trying to decide if I should introduce a bright poppy red somewhere ????

The Cabin is locked up for a few more weeks yet - we also have a builder working on the back wall of the house replacing the mortar in between the bricks, a long, messy & boring job but VERY necessary as it takes a real bashing from the weather.

So don't forget me ... keep popping back ... I'll be up & running again soon.

BUTTERFLIES & FLOWERS

This card just sort of happened if you know what I mean !

I'm sure you do !

I wasn't too sure exactly what type of style or image to make for this card but I did know that the lady who it's for likes butterflies & flowers, so I just started with a length of pink butterfly ribbon ( at the top )

I'd also bought a new Cuttlebug folder in the New Year sale & never had the chance to use it, so I wanted to use that - when I saw the design I immediately knew I wanted it so I could stick pearls in between the design ! So that was the start of my card, & I just played around until I had the end result ...

ROSE BRACELET

I've just been watching one of the craft channels on tv & they were making bracelets with Fimo roses ...

I made some Fimo pink roses a while back & still had some left so I adapted the design I was watching being demonstrated by adding what I had in my beads stash -

Swarovski crystals in pink, green & clear along with 3 Fimo roses in pale pink

HUGE thanks to my lovely friend AK who very kindly gave me these crystals when she moved house & decided not to take them with her ( great choice Ak - wink )

This is the first bracelet I made when I tried my hand at making roses last year, I just threaded one onto a length of memory wire along with some pearls & more Swarovski crystals courtesy of Ak once again :0) fank oooo again !!!
